ATV Vacations

All-terrain quads are popular vehicles for making fun family vacations. Even if you don't own your own sporty Yamaha or Suzuki quad, there are many American wilderness vacation destinations that offer ATV quad rentals that can make a trip through the woods into a motorized adventure. If you own your own ATVs, renting a trailer and traveling around a quad-friendly region of the US can make for a road trip to remember.

Some states, like Connecticut, have instituted laws against using ATVs on public land, although there are some private ATV trails that are available. However, that doesn't mean that the Northeast isn't a good place to go ATVing in. Massachusetts offers many ATV trails on its state parks, which you can find more information about at the state's Department of Conservation and Recreation website. New Hampshire also has a vibrant ATV recreational culture, and more information for road trippers can be found at the New Hampshire ATV club website.

You don't necessarily need to go far to find new and exciting places to go ATVing in. Search for your state's national parks website and go from there. Although many Federal parks do not allow ATVs on their trails due to laws against it, the status of public ATV trails does differ from state to state. Many private ATV parks are also out there. Good websites like http://www.atvpathfinder.com/ can help you find trails of all types in your area, along with printable maps, directions and articles about quads. Whatever your level of experience and enthusiasm, there are plenty of options out there for you. Don't get stuck driving around in circles on your own property. Take advantage of what's out there.
