It's official. The 2008 WPSA Series is going to be playing host to a powerful new team of brand-new machines and experienced racers. Rath Racing has long been offering their support and expertise to other racers, but now the time has come for them to have their very own factory-backed team. This year Rath Racing and Polaris have teamed up for one dynamite combination that is sure to be a strong contender in the race for the gate this year.
Daryl Rath will be heading up this new team on race day on a Sportsman in the QTC, an Outlaw 525 in Supermoto and a Crosscountry and RZR in various side-by-side events. His accomplishments include many international, national, and district championships, and his leadership will be a key factor in bringing this team to victory. The team is completed by Landon Hurst, Brock Lyons, Cody Anderson, and Jay Corey. Jennifer Rath will be serving as race team manager. This is the first full showing that Polaris has had in the WPSA event and there is a lot of pressure to prove that their models can compete with the other big names at these types of races. However, Polaris feels confident that with Daryl Rath and his dedicated team onboard, they will be able to show off the Sportsman and the Outlaw 450 MXR. A success on the racing circuits will mean that every rider will know that the Polaris American made motocross machines are as good as their competitors. |
