For anyone who enjoys off-roading in any capacity, knows that ATVs are a lot of fun. There is nothing quite like the adrenaline rush that comes with every bump, incline and down-grade that we take on these beasts. The issue comes in when we have kids that want to enjoy the fun too. Yes, they can ride on the back of our ATVs and quads, but they are not getting the full experience. Here are two reviews of the better ATVs that are geared towards kids.
These may not be necessarily the "latest and greatest", but they have both proven their quality and their dependability over the past few years. The 2007 Kawasaki KFX 50 and KFX 90 literally hit the ground running with their midget sized version of the full size. Quality and value are the key factors you want to consider when purchasing a quad for your child and Kawasaki delivers. There are also a few safety features that no child's ATV should be without. Some of these features include electric start, disc brakes, four-stroke reliability, ignition-cutoff tether and keyed ignition. These ensure that your kid won't be in any more danger than you would expect for off-roading. Suzuki's LTA50 Quadmaster introduced a whole new standard in kid's quad technology. While China (debatable purchase issues), Korea and Italy have positioned themselves at the top of the ranks, their durability does come into question. You can pay more for name and iconology, but realistically, that is not what the mainstream pays for when it comes to kid's machines. With suspension, larger dimensions, stronger frame and better breaks it pays to purchase one of these as a "first-time" purchase. Just like a first car, this quad will perform and ignite a love off off-roading in your child. |
