In previous model years, this light but powerful ATV has been a top performer both on the track and in reviews. That doesn’t stop with the 2008 model. It possesses the industry’s most powerful five valve titanium engine which weighs only 350 lbs. This means the power-to-weight ratio is the best found in any ATV ever. It’s a 449cc liquid cooled engine with 95mm of bore and 63.4mm of stroke so there is plenty of power in this little package. It features a 5 speed YZ-spec ratchet-type transmission with a heavy duty clutch which distributes all of the power to the back wheels smoothly and quickly. The steel frame is also compact and light without sacrificing strength and this ATV handles like no other racing ATV. The suspension is calibrated for racing performance and the front suspension features piggyback shocks with 9.1 inches of travel. The rear suspension is YZ-linkage type and comes with fully adjustable Showa shocks which offer 10.6 inches of travel. Even the 21x7R-10 (front) and 20x10R-9 (back) Dunlop radial tires have been customized for this racer.
Even the comfort and convenience features are great. It comes with a convenient toggle switch for the parking break as well as a push button electrical starter. The long narrow seat is not only comfortable; it also helps with quick precise steering and provides the most range of motion for the rider. The tough 45mm wide footrests provide comfort and grip so that the rider remains stable. The aluminum handle bar is light but sturdy.
