After a banner year in 2007, winning the Manufacturer's Cup, Team Suzuki is stepping up to dominate 2008 as well. For the second year in a row, more wins were notched up by Suzuki riders than any other brand of ATV, a trend the manufacturer hopes to continue with their bold new designed and high-tuned vehicles. 2008 looks to be a banner year for Suzuki, their riders, and fans of quad racing in general.
For 2008, Team Suzuki is epitomizing the old saying, "If it's not broken, don't fix it." Championship riders Doug Gust, Dusin Wimmer, and Chad Wienen are back for the new season, and hope to repeat their performance from last year. The team has also added some new talent in the person of Chad Borich, who placed fourth overall in WPSA standings in 2007. The team is also adding to their sponsors, announcing a partnership with Makita Tools. Makita joins such companies as Rockstar and Yoshimura in lending their name to the successful racing stable for the upcoming year. New sponsorships were also announced with Motorex Oil, JB Racing, and Xceldyne. Team Suzuki is also adding to their support roster for the upcoming season as well. Lost Creek Cycles' Kevin Mummah is stepping in as crew chief for the already excellent team of mechanics and technicians that keep Team Suzuki on the winner's board. Look for more technical excellence from the pit crew this year. The new WPSA tour begins May 3rd in Decatur, Texas at the Oak Hill Raceway. The newly upgraded facilities will be a welcome inaugural setting for what promises to be an excellent quad racing season. |
