ATV Motocross is a very popular sport, however many still do not know that much about it or how popular it really is. ATV motocross is not merely the racing of ATVs, there is a great deal more to the sport. For many, it is a way of life. ATV motocross in an extreme advent, where riders compete in either free style, doing flips and various tricks, as well as the extreme competition that pits ATV riders against each other to see who is the faster, better rider.

ATV motocross has faced a great deal more hardships and difficulties than dirt bikes. Until 2004, there had been a 10 year ban on the production and marketing of ATVs. This greatly limited options for riders. However, they made due with what was available and were able to keep the sport alive while at the same time, spreading its popularity.

Even though ATV motocross has existed almost as long as its more widely known two-wheeled counter part, it is not given the same respect. It has been said that ATV motocross is just as extreme and many feel that it even surpasses its rival since ATVs weigh a great deal more then dirt bikes. Some believe the growing popularity of ATV motocross is due to the relatability of the vehicle. Many have ridden an ATV or are less intimidated by the machine as it is simpler to operate, takes less strength and effort than a motorcycle requires.
