ATV Motocross

ATV Motocross is where riders race, across rough terrain. They earn trophies, and maybe even a little dough. They are on dirt tracks not paved, which makes the journey all the more treacherous. The riders wear certain gear, to be able to race. They race all over the United States for championships. The season starts in March in Alabama, and ends in August in Tennessee.
They wear helmets, they come in men and women’s styles, with many different logos and designs. Each rider has their own style, so you'll see many different designs. For instance, the AFX FX-37 Dual Sport Helmet, has a cover on it to protect your eyes from getting the dust in them; they come in only one color. They are also used in other motocross sports. They have more of a rounded edge to them. The 2009 Fly Racing Platinum LX Renaissance Graphic Helmet, has forced air ventilation; it has a light weight carbon fiber, with Kevlar® shell, and aerodynamic shape. It is a custom designed helmet, with a high gloss finish.

There are many safety items, that a rider has to have in order to compete. You have to have the correct helmet, gloves, boots, jackets, jerseys, pants, and body protection. The body protection is worn under the gear, to protect the rider if a crash and burn is to happen. Here are some of the items, Acerbis Koerta Vented Roost Deflector, goggles, impact shorts, chest protectors, knee protection, elbow protection, and neck collar protection. These not only come in men's but also women's sytles. There are many protection options for these riders, to wear and protect themselves.
